There is no doubt that Jorge Juan Street is livelier than ever and to prove it there is yet another recent opening, More, located at number 27, where Ivan Saéz, who worked in Zorzal and Senzone, is in the kitchen mixing tradition and product with splashes of creativity which seems to be the magic formula lately. What first caught my eye one Saturday morning leisurely passing by was the decoration and then I heard that the food was good too so I just had to go and check it out.
Well decorated, with an area towards the entrance which I found to be very original with paintings hanging from the ceiling. There is an elegant feel throughout and the interior patios bestows the restaurant with natural light which is always a plus.
I found both the food and the staff to be very pleasant.
We had the caramalized millefeuilles of foie, smoked eel and green apples. Although good, I prefer my husband’s version.
ham and chicken croquestas, tasty
egg cooked at low temperature over white truffle and potato cream and black truffles shavings on top
Clams, the sauce was quite good.
Rice with red prawn, savoury
Both for its decoration and savoury cooking, More is a nice addition to Jorge Juan Street.
